iVision Facilitates 2010 Vancouver Olympics Streaming Video

iVision provides management platform to support 2010 Olympics’ Online Video Broadcast

Atlanta (Feb. 27, 2009)iVision, Inc. has been selected to help in building out a set of high-end infrastructure to support live Silverlight video streaming for the Vancouver Olympics in February 2010.  The system will capture all video content for the Olympics and broadcast real time to the public. iVision, Inc., one of the nation's fastest growing private technology firms, will provide the monitoring and management tools necessary for ensuring the overall health of the streaming video.

To support the entire build and deliver online video for the Vancouver Olympics, iVision will utilize Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 (SCOM) to provide the requisite monitoring telemetry to ensure a smooth real time broadcast. iVision additionally developed a customized set of tools to help monitor the health of the video streams and the supporting servers. With extremely high video and processing needs it becomes critical that the system is configured and tuned to handle these massive requirements and avoid any server issues that could disrupt the streaming video.

The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics is a worldwide event and now we’ve been chosen to help ensure the event’s broadcast is a complete success. What a great opportunity!”
