Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) is the discipline of managing technology assets throughout their lifecycle, improving procurement processes and supporting business decisions.
iMX seamlessly integrates with and extends Microsoft’s System Management Server (SMS) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) products to achieve a complete asset management solution. Leveraging dynamic inventory information for computers, servers and mobile devices from SMS/SCCM in real-time, iMX provides a solution for associating the remainder of the asset’s characteristics such as warranty term, lease expiration, user assignment, physical location, and much more.

Features
Out-of-the-Box Reporting Intelligence and Easy Report Builder
Leveraging Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, iMX provides many reports to track and manage hardware and software assets – with the ability to configure scheduled subscriptions to report delivery via Email. The iMX report model allows for easy point-and-click creation of a custom report.
Rich Web Interface
All iMX asset management functions can be performed via a rich web interface, facilitating ease of use and information access from anywhere.
Real-Time Integration with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager Unlike other asset management tools, iMX doesn’t just import perform a blind import from SMS/SCCM, cluttering a second database. For hardware and software assets that are managed in iMX, additional information is retrieved in real-time directly from the SCCM database for reporting.
Real-Time Integration with Microsoft Active Directory
Allowing the assignment of an asset to an Active Directory user enables reporting based on a variety of additional fields that do not need to be maintained in multiple locations. For example, reporting assets managed under a specific business manager or in a specific cost center.
Barcode Scanning for Bulk Entry and Site Inventory
iMX supports leading scanner devices to enable bulk entry of a large number of assets by scanning their asset numbers and serial numbers. The scanning module also supports a site inventory, and will identify assets that were scanned but do not exist in the database – or those that exist in iMX but were not scanned.
Integration with Workstation Provisioning
Assigning computer assets to Active Directory users also enables extended software provisioning rules for desktop deployments. For example, computers assigned users with “Marketing” in their AD job title could be configured to have the marketing software automatically installed during the imaging process.
Loaner Device Management
Loaner assets such as laptops or projectors may be placed into a pool from which they can be assigned out and returned. Reports allow tracking of loaner equipment and past-due returns.
