Job Title: Senior Voice Consultant
Reports To: Infrastructure Services Practice Lead

A Senior Voice Consultant will be part of the Consulting Services organization to assist in architecting, validating, and implementing Unified Communications solutions from Cisco.  This person will act in a lead role and oversee the implementation of such services for iVision customers. 

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience interacting with customers to manage the implementation process in areas of simplicity to very complex designs.  The candidate must have a thorough understanding of the technology and has held positions with previous resellers, consulting firms, or in a large Corporate IT department.  The candidate must have a high degree of professionalism and attentiveness.  The candidate must be well versed in IT operations to support various integrations with Cisco Switches and Routers, Microsoft AD & Exchange, and traditional PBX’s.

• Develop appropriately detailed status reports.

• Provide technical leadership to iVision clients including being conversant with the future direction of systems, how that direction will impact the client, and how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise.
• Manage own time and assist others with focusing on delivery of services.
• Mentor team members on technology trends, overviews, and specifics.

Position Requirements

4+ years experience in a reseller, consulting firm, or large corporate IT environment (250+ users)
4+ years working on Cisco networking hardware.  At a minimum, this includes:


• Routers: 28xx/29xx, 38xx/39xx, 76xx series
• Switches: 29xx, 35xx, 37xx, 45xx, 49xx, 65xx
• UC: Callmanager, Unity, Unity Connection, Presence, MeetingPlace, Contact Center
• OS: Microsoft, Linux
• Applications: Active Directory (AD), Exchange 2003/2007

 

• Broad foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure solutions (Need to define more)
• Experience implementing network solutions independently and in a team environment
• Leadership/Communication skills to delegate tasks when appropriate in a large implementations
• Understanding on configuring the Cisco Unified Communications portfolio
• Technical writing skills to provide professional reports for implementation documentation and assessment reporting
• Skilled and well versed in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio
• Focused and consistent attention to detail to ensure 100% adherence to Service Level Objectives for system availability and responsiveness to customer requests
• Ability to maintain an extreme sense of urgency in all interactions with the customer
• Exceptional Email management and written communication skills
• Ability to work after-hours change windows for customer projects
• Ability and desire to encourage a team culture that promotes accountability while maintaining enthusiasm and creating growth opportunities for each person on the team

Desired Skills

• Minimum CCNA and CCVP with 5+ years of experience or 5+ years of experience and willing to take exams
• Associate Degree or higher in Information Services, Electrical Engineering Technology or 5+ years of experience
