Practice Manager Selected As BCP Expert by American Red Cross and Homeland Security

Matt McKinley, Practice Manager for iVision’s Managed Services, was recently asked to lead a series of Business Continuity training courses by Homeland Security and The American Red Cross.  Acting as one of two content experts, Matt conducted three training seminars for key public and private organizations from the Midwest. 

In a recent press release the American Red Cross introduced Matt as, “a Business Continuity Consultant from Atlanta, GA. with over 10 years of experience working with companies to safeguard and restore their data systems.  He is a Certified Business Continuity Professional whose focus is to help firms plan for uninterrupted service and revenue during a crisis situation.  Matt has worked primarily with financial, legal and architectural firms.”

The course, which is the product of the Institute of Corporate and Public Safety (ICPS), was designed to guide businesses through the construction of a business continuity plan as well as best practices to test and evaluate its effectiveness.

iVision To Kickoff Southeast Management User Group event in Atlanta

iVision Practice Manager Named Authorized Trainer For Business Continuity By Homeland Security

ATLANTA, May 15 - The Department of Homeland Security has named Matt McKinley an authorized trainer for Business Continuity and Emergency Preparedness. This program, the Institute of Corporate and Public Safety (ICPS), is run out of Bentonville, Arkansas and covers the entire country.

Matt's first event was held in South Carolina with representatives from the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, various government agencies and large corporations present. The training included interactive simulations, role-playing, and demonstrations that gave the audience a solid foundation to build their own Business Continuity and Emergency Preparedness plan.

When asked about the value of the Homeland Security events Matt noted, “These structured training programs are ideal for those new to the idea of Business Continuity. We help lay the foundation to build a strong process as well as understand the role the entire community plays in being prepared”.
